Wyverns are mythical creatures that have been in stories since the fourteenth century. They are depicted as two-legged, winged, serpent-like creatures. Wyverns have been prevelnt in modern times being featured in many fanasty books and movies and also used as mascots for schools and sports teams. They are very often confused for dragons.
